Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the placement of a very fine, sterile, needle at specific acupoints on the body. This activates the body’s natural healing and recuperative power.
All needles are made of high quality surgical stainless steel, sterile, disposable and used only one time.
Electrostimulation Therapy
Electrostimulation therapy is the application of a pulsating electrical current to acupuncture needles to enhance the stimulation of certain points.
Fire Cupping Therapy
Fire cupping therapy involves placing glass jars over an area of the skin. The jars are heated to create a vacuum on the skin to open up the pores, stimulate blood flow deep in the tissue and release toxins from the body. Several stationary cups may be placed and retained for 5-15 minutes or a sliding technique with massage oil may be used. One may experience slight discoloration of the skin where the cup was placed. This discoloration is normal and will fade within a couple days.
Moxabustion Therapy
Practitioners use moxa (from mugwort herb) to warm body regions and acupuncture points to stimulate smoother circulation of energy (qi) and blood.
Ear Seeds
Ear acupuncture points can be stimulated for a longer period of time with ear seeds. This prolongs the effects of the overall treatment. The seeds are made from the Vacarria plant or a variety of metals and are held in place with a small piece of adhesive tape for a few days and then removed.
Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage)
Tui-na is translated as “pushing and grasping”. Chinese medical massage combines acupressure with various other body work techniques to activate the body’s natural healing and recuperative power.
Korean Hand Therapy (KHT)
Korean Hand Therapy (Koryo Soojichim/KHT) is a Korean form of acupuncture and massage for bringing the body to balance and wellness through your hands. By stimulating specific points on the hands, you can resolve pain and activate the body’s natural healing and recuperative power.
Magnets or a variety of metals are held in place on the hands with adhesive tape for a few days.
Chinese Food Therapy
Chinese food therapy relies on the consumption of natural foods to heal the body. According to Chinese Medicine, illnesses can be treated by eating specific combination of foods according to a person’s constitution and presenting illness. This stems from the knowledge that improper diet leads to illness and proper diet contributes to the body’s health.
Eating foods according to one’s constitution is fundamental to staying healthy. Food is one of the most important pillars of health.
Facial Rejuvenation
Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture addresses all aspects of one’s health and beauty. It can improve facial tone by stimulating the muscles of the face and reestablishing firmness. This can improve the look of a sagging jaw line, double chin, drooping eyelids and cheekbones. Acupuncture also stimulates circulation in the face, improving facial color, and under eye puffiness and circles. By stimulating collagen production, individual lines and wrinkles can be diminished. Acupuncture also affects the endocrine system thereby balancing hormones, which can improve problems such as acne, oily skin, and dry skin.
Most importantly, facial rejuvenation acupuncture addresses the internal imbalance that is causing the problem in the first place. Therefore, in addition to stimulating the facial areas directly, the practitioner also strengthens the system at its root, so that sagging and other problems are less likely to recur. This whole body approach to rejuvenation provides lasting results. Many not only start looking better, but also feel better, sleep better, have improved digestion and are relieved of aches and pains.
